With an audacious plan to raise the stakes, both in money and the level of fun had on the day, F4H is now including a valuable charity newcomer in its payouts for 2012. The Flannels For Heroes committee recently met to agree the three main beneficiary charities for 2012. They are to be Walking With the Wounded, Help For Heroes and, new for 2012, Combat Stress.
What is Combat Stress?
Combat stress is the charity specialising in the care of veterans’ mental health. It looks after the growing number of men and women who are suffering from a psychological condition related to their service career. They received over 1,400 referrals last year and have a current caseload of more than 4,600.
